Lyon have taken over the lead of Ligue 1. According to L'Équipe, Le Parisien, Le Figaro, franceinfo and Sports.fr, the club beat Nice 2-1 in the closing match of the 7th round of fixtures.

The match was tense, reports Placar. Lyon had a player sent off in the second half and needed a VAR decision at the end to secure the win, the Brazilian outlet adds.

Lyon now sit above Paris Saint-Germain, who had been leading the standings, according to Le Parisien and So Foot. RMC Sport quotes Di Meco praising Lyon's revival, saying "Lyon a très bien bossé" after the club nearly suffered relegation last season.
